Frozen Yogurt Flavors and Recipes

Frozen yogurt is another favorite summer flavor. Frozen yogurt has a flavor that is similar to that of ice cream or sherbet, but it’s not as rich. It is much lighter tasting, and the flavors are usually as abundant as the flavors of ice cream - you’ll find vanilla frozen yogurt, chocolate frozen yogurt, strawberry frozen yogurt, and everything in between. What draws people to frozen yogurt is that it’s usually seen as a much healthier alternative to ice cream as it is much lower in fat.

There is a pretty good frozen yogurt recipe here. Basically, the recipe involves using vanilla, milk, sugar, gelatin, salt, corn syrup, and of course plain yogurt. You cook some of the ingredients, let them cool, combine the rest, chill them, then pour into an ice cream machine and freeze. The recipe above gives you the specifics.

Fresh Peach Cobbler Flavor

The flavor of fresh peach cobbler is a very southern flavor. Ideally, fresh peach cobbler should have a tasty blend of flavors including sweet flavor of summer peaches, mixed in with the fresh flavor of peach juice, and a special blend of explosive spice flavors to give the cobbler that special flavor, including either nutmeg or cinammon. Peach cobbler is a very filling dessert, and the flavor is comforting and familiar, and often reminds people of home or their grandma or grandparents house.

Recipes for peach cobbler abound - you’ll find creative recipes which make peach cobbler with a cake mix or a bisquick mix, peach cobbler with a double crust or a crispy crust. Even low-fat peach cobbler recipes. Check out Easy Peach Cobbler Recipes on recipezaar; experiment with the spices to get the pie flavor exactly the way you want it.

Beside peach cobbler itself, peach cobbler is also a popular summer icecream flavor - check out the Ben & Jerry’s Willie Nelson’s Country Peach Cobbler if you want to try it! It has cinnamon, sugar and shortbread pieces and is both an ice cream and pie enthusaists dream!

Frozen Lemonade Flavor and Recipe!

What makes for a good lemonade flavor? The best lemonade should be slightly sour in flavor, and sweetened only enough to reduce it from being sour enough to make your face cringe. In other words, lemonade should not be very very sweet…err on the side of being sour.  As for Frozen lemonade, keep in mind that you drink frozen lemonade when it is hot, so you want it to be refreshing. If you make it too sweet, you’ll be dissatisfied with it, and you’ll want water.  Therefore, you want to keep frozen lemonade slightly sour in flavor as well.

How do you make frozen lemonade? A good recipe for frozen lemonade that comes out with a good flavor is:

  • approx. 1 cup of lemon juice, 3 cups of crushed ice, 3/4 cup of sugar, 3/4 cup of water. Put in the blender and blend!

Enjoy!!

Ham soda -it’s kosher!

Are you ready for ham flavored soda?   It’s hheeeeerre!  (And no, I did not say ham WITH soda, and i also did not say coke-flavored ham or ham cooked with coke,  i said HAM SODA! )  The Seattle-based Jones Soda Co. is offering a Christmas pack of flavored sodas, and among these is ham soda. And yes, it is kosher!  (Thank goodness, right?) This interesting flavor is meant to compliment Christmas because it goes right in with “Christmas Ham” (it’s just a carbonated version!).  The carbonated ham-flavored beverage will be caffeine free, and you might just see it in the supermarket right next to coke, so don’t pick it up accidentally! ha ha ha.  You can pick up the ham-flavored soda as part of the Jones Soda 2007 Holiday Christmas pack.
