Flavor is a “taste;” it is a substance that gives a particular sensory perception to your mouth. Your mouth, which contains thousands of taste buds will sense the particular flavor of which you are eating, the taste buds will then send out the signal and you will “taste” what you taste. Your nose often works in conjunction with your sense of taste…next time you have a cold or are sick you will notice that food and flavors do not taste the same as when you are feeling well.
Frozen fruit smoothies recipes here for your review right in time for summer! The fruit is the main ingredient of the fruit smoothie – and because of this, smoothies come in as many flavors as there are fruits.
In order to change it up a little bit for summer, try this twist on your fruit smoothie: make it frozen! A frozen fruit smoothie is ideal for summer, and you can make it in a variety of refreshingly cool summer flavors…you might try the frozen Key Lime Smoothie (key limes of course being the main ingredient), or how about a frozen banana-strawberry fruit smoothie?! Or what about a frozen melon fruit smoothie? Just the sound of these smothies is enough to cool you off!
Here’s a great recipe for a frozen fruit smoothie:
buy a bag of frozen mixed fruit (I like to buy mine in bulk from Sam’s – it gives enough fruit to make smoothies for an entire month!) Add about 2.5 cups of frozen fruit, about 1 cup of milk and 1/2 cup of apple juice or orange juice, then sweeten the whole mixture with honey! Mix it in a blender until it’s all blended together the consistency of a thick shake.
It makes a delicious and refreshing drink – and not only are fruit smoothies flavorful and refreshing but they are also very healthY! Try it and make this fruit drink the flavor of your summer!

The flavor of fresh peach cobbler is a very southern flavor. Ideally, fresh peach cobbler should have a tasty blend of flavors including sweet flavor of summer peaches, mixed in with the fresh flavor of peach juice, and a special blend of explosive spice flavors to give the cobbler that special flavor, including either nutmeg or cinammon. Peach cobbler is a very filling dessert, and the flavor is comforting and familiar, and often reminds people of home or their grandma or grandparents house.
Recipes for peach cobbler abound – you’ll find creative recipes which make peach cobbler with a cake mix or a bisquick mix, peach cobbler with a double crust or a crispy crust. Even low-fat peach cobbler recipes. Check out Easy Peach Cobbler Recipes on recipezaar; experiment with the spices to get the pie flavor exactly the way you want it.
Beside peach cobbler itself, peach cobbler is also a popular summer icecream flavor – check out the Ben & Jerry’s Willie Nelson’s Country Peach Cobbler if you want to try it! It has cinnamon, sugar and shortbread pieces and is both an ice cream and pie enthusaists dream!
What makes for a good lemonade flavor? The best lemonade should be slightly sour in flavor, and sweetened only enough to reduce it from being sour enough to make your face cringe. In other words, lemonade should not be very very sweet…err on the side of being sour. As for Frozen lemonade, keep in mind that you drink frozen lemonade when it is hot, so you want it to be refreshing. If you make it too sweet, you’ll be dissatisfied with it, and you’ll want water. Therefore, you want to keep frozen lemonade slightly sour in flavor as well.
How do you make frozen lemonade? A good recipe for frozen lemonade that comes out with a good flavor is:
approx. 1 cup of lemon juice, 3 cups of crushed ice, 3/4 cup of sugar, 3/4 cup of water. Put in the blender and blend!
Enjoy!!
