If you have ever had homemade mayonnaise then you know how delicious it can taste. However, the only problem with making mayo at home is the minimal risk of salmonella poisoning since most recipes call for at least one fresh egg. Preparing raw eggs in the creamy whipped un-cooked food is something that you need to make with caution, beware of the health sanitary conditions before you begin a recipe such as mayo made at home.
If you are ready to prepare it on your own you will only need a few different ingredients
What are the basic ingredients of mayo made at your house?
Well, the basic ingredients are much more basid than you would think! You will need:
egg yolks
vinegar
salt
lemon juice
oil
Using a whisk, you’ll whisk together the egg yolks, vinegar, and salt. Slowly, you start to add vegetable oil. The mixture will start to thicken…if it becomes too thick, you simply add more vinegar to thin it out. When you get the mayo the way you want it, put in a little bit of lemon juice and you’re done!! Delicious homemade mayonnaise from a few simple ingredients you already have at home! 🙂
The best time to make pumpkin seeds is Halloween when you have all of those seeds outof your carved creation. So, the question is… What do you do with all of those seeds?!
Roast them! It is very simple recipe to follow!
The instructions:
Clean off those seeds once you have them out of the pumpkin. Then place them in a large bowl and mix a little bit (a tablespoon or so) of melted butter on top of them. Mix them up really good, you want to get a light coat of butter on all of the seeds, then sprinkle a little bit of salt (to taste) in the bowl and mix.
Put the oven on a low temp to roast them. About 300º for about 40 minutes should do the trick. Just keep an eye on them, you want them to be golden brown.
Thats it! Enjoy your roasted pumpkin seeds!
