Ice Cream Flavors! Did you know that Marble Slab Creamery started in Houston Texas in the 1980’s? Well, since then the ice cream shop has become a dedicated and unique ice cream parlor. The shoppes use their special “frozen slab” to mix and dish out your favorite flavors of ice cream daily.

Ice cream is a dessert made from dairy and is usually served in a frozen form. Although the specific origins of Ice cream is difficult to determine it is suggested that the dessert was invented hundreds and hundreds of years ago. Some of the original places ice cream had been discovered include China, Italy, and Rome; ice cream had not been reported in the United States until around 1700’s. Jacob Fussell is credited with opening the first ice cream factories in the United States in the 1800’s. Ice cream parlors became a popular destination for many seeking the cold dessert, ice cream.
The Spiced Pumpkin Pecan Ice Cream is one you cannot miss! For a limited time we found this in our local surrounding stores, we bought it every chance we got! BUt after the supply was gone so was our enjoyment… This Blue Bell ice cream flavor is very much like having a slice of pumpkin pie with a nice crunch! Not a single flavor could be missed in this perfectly mixed ice cream… the pumpkin, the spices, the caramel, and of course the pralines. BRENHAM – The newest creation from Blue Bell is not your basic pumpkin ice cream. Spiced Pumpkin Pecan Ice Cream is sweetened and spiced to perfection. It is a delightful spiced pumpkin ice cream combined with tasty sugar-coated pecans and a rich cinnamon-honey-praline sauce.
“This is a recipe we have been working on for some time,” said Carl Breed, director of marketing for Blue Bell. “You have your basic pumpkin ice cream that is popular during the fall months, but we wanted to create a flavor that was much more than simply pumpkin. We tried several different combinations of added ingredients until we found one we could not stop sampling.”
The sugar-coated pecans and cinnamon-honey-praline sauce are what set this pumpkin based ice cream apart from all the rest. “The pecans and sauce are what really enhance the flavor of this ice cream,” Breed added. “The spiced pumpkin ice cream is very similar to what a pumpkin pie tastes like, add in the sweetness from the pecans and sauce and you have something spectacular.”
Spiced Pumpkin Pecan Ice Cream will debut in stores in November and is only available while supplies last.
The free ice cream tour includes stops in New York, Georgia, Tennessee, and Ohio. But the indications are that there will be more tour dates to be added.
